I find mushrooms have something wholesome, mysterious and comforting about them. They come in all different shapes and sizes, and are often wonky or battered by the unknowing passer-by. I noticed that their feathery caps, rings and gills and could be similar to hair, a beard or flowing skirts. The more I drew little faces onto the mushrooms, the more hooked I became. This sticker is part of an ongoing forest and fungi folk series.
